Working with Eventstream
Do we need technical skills to run our app?
No. Eventstream is a managed service — we handle the setup, publishing, hosting, updates and technical support. Your team focuses on your events and content, and we take care of everything else.
Will the app carry our branding?
Yes. Every app is built around your identity — your name, logo and colours — so your audience sees your brand, not ours.
Which platforms are the apps available on?
Eventstream apps are native mobile apps for both iOS and Android.
How do we get started?
Book a demo. We'll show you the platform, talk through your programme and branding, and explain exactly what happens from agreement to launch.
Can you add features specific to our organisation?
Often, yes. Our established platform covers the common needs of festivals, theatres and communities out of the box, and we can discuss tailored features and integrations as part of your project. We'll always be clear about what's included and what's custom work.
Who looks after the content in the app?
That depends on the arrangement you choose. Many organisations manage their own listings through our content administration tools; we also offer fully managed options where our team handles content and updates for you.
The platform
How do events get into the app?
Several ways — automatically from a connected ticketing system or website feed, through Eventstream Scout™ (our event-gathering software), or entered manually through the content dashboard. We'll recommend the right approach for your programme at the demo.
Can the app link to our ticketing?
Yes — the app links your audience directly to your ticket provider to complete their purchase, so your existing ticketing arrangements stay exactly as they are. Available integrations include Spektrix and Ticketsolve; we'll confirm the right approach for your system at the demo.
What are push notifications used for?
Programme announcements, schedule changes, last-chance reminders and anything else your audience needs to know — sent straight to the home screen of everyone who has your app.
Do we get reporting?
Yes. Analytics and insights cover engagement and user activity in your app, so you can see what your audience responds to.
Festivals
Can the app handle schedule changes during the festival?
Yes — that's one of the main reasons festivals use it. Changes publish instantly to the app, and you can pair them with a push notification so the audience on site knows straight away.
Does the app sell tickets?
The app links your audience directly to your existing ticket provider to complete their purchase. Your ticketing arrangements stay exactly as they are.
Theatres
How does the app work with our box office?
The app presents your season and productions, and sends audiences to your existing box office or ticketing provider to complete bookings. We discuss the options for your specific setup at the demo.
Can we announce a new season through the app?
Yes — season launches, on-sale dates and reminders can be sent as push notifications to everyone who has your app.
Communities & destinations
Who keeps a city app's listings up to date?
A mix that suits your team: our Eventstream Scout™ software gathers events automatically, your team can manage content with our no-code tools, and fully managed arrangements are available where we handle it for you.
Can local venues and businesses be featured?
Yes — curated guides cover restaurants, cafés, bars, attractions and local experiences, and venues benefit from the shared audience one city app creates.
